The word Bible means “The Book.” It is the inspired word of God. It is the complete revealed word of God containing 66 books. There are two major divisions, the Old and New Testament. The Old Testament has 39 books and can be divided into categories such as Law, History, Poetry, and Prophecy. The New Testament has 27 books and is divided into categories such as the Gospels, History, Epistles, and Prophecy.
